Contest runs from January 20 – April 2 (That’s 10 weeks!)

Contestants will be put into teams of 6 for group training sessions at the start of the competition based on preference and ability.  You will get to choose a training session from a variety of days and times.[/toggle][toggle heading=”Prizes”] $500 to the BIGGEST LOSER based on % weight-loss!

$500 to the BIGGEST LOSER based on % of average inches lost!

True Grits (Perseverance) and The Main Ingredient (Fan-favorite) Award winners will get sponsor prizes!

Additional prizes will be awarded throughout the contest!

True Grits Award is voted on by the trainers and contest organizers with nominations from your fellow contestants.  The Main Ingredient Award is determined by the number of Brownie Points purchased for each contestant by friends, family and fans.  The Brownie Points are low-fat, of course. [/toggle][toggle heading=”Important Dates”] Weigh-ins are on Thursdays at the UWFC Offices, 8:00 a.m – 6:00 p.m. starting on January 22.  (You can weigh-in on Tuesdays, 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., but it’ll cost you!)

The first weigh-ins and measurements will occur during Prep Week (Jan. 13-15), times vary.

The BIGGEST LOSER Kick-off is January 20, 6:00-8:00 p.m.

Fitness classes start Sunday, January 25.

*NEW* Healthy Mindset Methods with Burn & Learn’s newest partner, Robin Lawrimore Lewis, certified life coach and founder of Sozo Life & Leadership, on Tuesday, January 27 from 6:00-7:30 p.m., location TBD.

Nutrition – Next Level with registered dietician/nutritionist Kitty Finklea on Tuesday, February 3, 6:00-7:30 p.m. at McLeod Health & Fitness Center.

Team challenges are scheduled during Week 6 & 8!  Work-out Like a Viper with the Vipers basketball team will take place on Tuesday, March 3 from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m., Location TBD.  Kayak Attack with Naturally Outdoors on Saturday, March 21 from 2:00 – 4:30 p.m.

McLeod Health & Fitness professional trainers will take your measurements again in Week 5 on Tuesday, February 24 and in Week 10 on March 30-31.  Times vary.

The BIGGEST LOSER Finale is on April 2, 2015!

*There will also be optional nutritional trainings, Energizers and Motivator Meet-ups and more to assist you on your journey! (They are going to be so much fun, you won’t want to miss them!) However, only the above dates are required to remain in the contest.[/toggle] [toggle heading=”The Rules”]Contestants must weigh-in each week.  (Twists: See below to learn about Save-A-Weigh.)

Contestants who gain weight twice after Week 4 will be disqualified. 

Contestants commit to attend the kick-off and finale events,weekly group fitness training, team challenges, the initial healthy mindset training and the first two nutritional classes.  Contestants are allowed only three absences for required activities during the competition.

Contestants affirm that they will not use any weight reduction enhancements other than fitness and nutritional efforts. [/toggle] [toggle heading=”Twists”] Tuesday Weigh-ins: You can weigh-in on Tuesday between 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. for $10. 

Save-A-Weigh: Raise $35 and receive immunity from your weigh-in for that week!  Get your friends, family and co-workers to help by using our online donate button!  Contestants are not required to weigh-in for the designated week.  Allowed twice during contest.[/toggle]
